Mathew Cutler – past professional winner of “Strictly” started his dance career at the age of years old with us – and went on to win World Championships – whilst under our wing.

We pride ourselves on having a school that not only a very good place to learn to dance, but we work hard in maintain a friendly – informal atmosphere on all classes and lessons. Everyone learns best whilst happy and enjoying themselves – I can guarantee you will enjoy learning to dance at our studio.

The refurbishment has been a huge success, we have now been able to hold regular social evenings, with a licensed bar, and we have a lovely social circle of like- minded friends all enjoying dancing.

The venue has proved hugely popular with bookings, so most weekends it is hired out for special birthdays,

weddings, etc.,  detail on venue hire.

We cater for all age groups from Toddlers to OAP and offer a youth club environment for youngsters, and an ideal meeting place for parents. It really is an ideal family club.

Parents can see the benefits of encouraging their children to take part in a healthy, fun sport activity which encourages, – all social graces, as well as the ability to learn in partnership and the obvious exercise advantage.

We encourage all pupils to reach their full potential – and achieve all personal goals – all be it – to Dance at Blackpool – or dance a basic Waltz at a family gathering.  We arrange several holidays during the year, including Warners, TLF Leisure Torquay, and Blackpool.

Look forward to seeing you there soon.

About Carole Davies, Ballroom and Latin Dance Teacher

Hi, my name is Carole Davies

I started dancing when I was 7 years of age at a local Ballroom and Latin school, run by Audrey Wallace, and have danced ever since. Having completed my medals at 16, I decided to dance on the “open circuit”, when I started having lessons in London with Sydney Francis, and Eric Donaldson, Len Goodman, Alan and |Hazel Fletcher, Richard Gleave, David and Denise Weavers, and competed, more regularly. During this time I danced all over the country and also represented England abroad.  |I have a wealth of knowledge and experience I am happy to pass this on.

In 1975 I decided to hang up my amateur dance shoes and turn professional, wherein spent 2 years demonstrating and competing at professional level before deciding to teach. I worked for Len Goodman for a year, and then decided to start my own school and taught in halls for a couple of years, before the opportunity arose to purchase the studio at 1a Elm Road, Leigh, where I have taught ever since.

Many of my pupils have gone onto dance professionally on cruise ships, west end shows, teach and Matthew Cutler ex-Latin open British Champs at the age of 11yrs. However what I pride myself on most is many children have gone through the school and look back on their childhood dancing days with great joy.
